Position Summary
The Service Helper/Apprentice provides critical support to the Service Technicians, assisting with propane tank installations and related tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop technical skills in a dynamic and hands-on role. While this position is typically seasonal, it offers valuable experience for those interested in pursuing a career in the propane industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Tank Loading: Assist with loading propane tanks onto trucks safely and efficiently.
- Tank Installation Support: Aid in the installation of propane tanks, ensuring all tasks are completed to company standards.
- Trenching: Perform trenching for propane lines as required.
- General Assistance: Support Service Technicians with all aspects of the installation process and related duties.
Qualifications and Skills
- Physical Fitness: Ability to climb on and off flatbed trucks and perform heavy lifting as required.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Basic mechanical skills and the ability to operate small machinery.
- Safety Focus: Strong commitment to safe work practices in all tasks performed.
- Willingness to Learn: Enthusiasm for developing new skills; interest in obtaining a gas license is an asset.
- Flexibility: Availability to work flexible hours, including overtime, as needed.
